Users may explicitly choose to contribute to improving the model by uploading an anonymized photo along with entering the actual delivery date and delivery weight if they choose but this option is not required for the app to function and provide and fetal weight estimate. No photo’s will be allowed to be uploaded without first undergoing photo anonymization.
Photo Anonymization:
We strongly encourage users to utilize our built-in face-blurring function to anonymize any photos before using them in the app especially if your intent is to share the information on social media. This helps protect your privacy and prevents potential identification.
Face Data:
The only aspect of face data that this app collects is the size of the user’s face in relation to the size of their gravid abdomen to be used as a component in estimation of the fetal weight. No identifying components of the face are utilized and in no way is face ID or face recognition utilized. This information is stored only in the phone ephemerally during the most recent calculation of fetal weight then discarded. No aspect of this measurement is shared with third parties.
Data Storage and Security:
All data, including optional user-provided information, is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, nor is it transmitted to any external servers unless you explicitly choose to help improve the model.
Third-Party Access:
We do not share any user data with third parties. We do share crash analytics with the Sentry crash analytics service and app usage statistics with Google analytics and Mixpanel analytics to help serve a better user experience.
